CINEMA COLOUR

Chris Mayer says Australians want premium experiences from their televisions. And with Netflix, YouTube and advanced streaming services, the picture quality is better than ever.

“One feature I recommend customers look out for is quantum dot technology,” he says.

“It changes the way the backlight works and allows more colours to come through the television. When you go to the cinema, the movies are at a higher colour accuracy than what you would get on live television. But things like Netflix and YouTube and Blu-ray movies are actually coming in cinema colour.”

In terms of sound quality, Chris says customers should look for good audio amplifiers and premium sound solutions, or they could improve the quality of their television sound with a sound bar.
