Jaws terror in Cape Cod
CAPE COD: A man has died after being bitten by a shark in the water off a Cape Cod beach, becoming Massachusetts’ first fatal attack in more than 80 years.
The 26-year-old man died of his injuries after the attack off Newcomb Hollow Beach.
Local fisherman Joe Booth said he saw the man aggressively kick something behind him and a flicker of a tail from the water.
“I was that guy on the beach screaming, ‘Shark, shark!’” Booth said. “It was like right out of that movie Jaws.”
The beach has been closed to swimming.
