Another hit but now mum’s the word

The Daily Telegraph (Sydney) - - Sydney Confidential -

DANNII Minogue is writing new songs but won’t commit to major music projects because of her commitment to being a mum. Minogue, mother to Ethan, 8, said she appreciated the love for her Neon Nights album, which went back to the top of the British charts after being rereleased on vinyl earlier this year. Released in 2003, it contained the hits Put The Needle On It and Who Do You Love Now. “I got to enjoy the album all over again,” Minogue told Confidential. “But when fans said I should do another one, I was like, ‘You don’t understand. Neon Nights was a year’s work — without a child.’ “My days now are thinking about my son. I go to work and I come back to him. It’s a whole different ballgame.” That said, Minogue has a new sense of joy about making music in 2018. “It’s easy to release music today. It’s not a process where I have to have go through a record company and then commit to a schedule.”
