PRIME Minister Scott Morrison’s tussle with Sharks captain Paul Gallen yesterday morning was tough — but not as tough as having to wrestle a few hours later with the question of why Malcolm Turnbull was replaced.

At Burraneer Bay Public School, Mr Morrison took on the 105kg NRL legend and heavyweight boxer as part of veterans’ charity Soldier On’s bid to set a world record for the most arm wrestles over 24 hours.

And the PM won. “Great morning with ScoMo, he actually beat me at the arm wrestle but only cause I got a sore shoulder,” Gallen wrote later on Facebook.

At another charity event that day — a lunch for Lifeline — Mr Morrison told MC Mike Munro his colleagues felt Mr Turnbull was out of touch with core supporters.
