TRIPLE M’s Matty Johns has broadcast his last show with The Grill Team after spending eight years co-hosting with Chris Page and Gus Worland.

The NRL legend farewelled listeners yesterday, explaining the toll that 4am radio starts and late night TV had taken.

“The challenge has been juggling late-night commitments with Fox Sports, along with the early hours of breakfast radio,” Johns said. “After eight years, that can take a toll and for that reason I’ve decided to take a break from radio. Not an easy decision, but the right one. Once again, thank you to all at Triple M.”

Johns will continue at Fox Sports hosting The Late Night with Matty Johns and The Matty Johns Show.
