Choc tactic not festive
CHILDREN as young as four were left in tears after being told at school that Father Christmas was made-up and having chocolate Santas and reindeer smashed.
The British youngsters were left in tears after attending the assembly at Fleet Wood Lane School in Spalding, Lincolnshire hosted by a Christian charity. It is understood the woman delivering the assembly on Thursday was trying to explain that Jesus was the reason behind Christmas, not Santa, who had been “made up”.
Head teacher Rachael Cotton said she had apologised to parents. “I have written to parents and assured them that we will not be using representatives from this charity again.”
