Opal report due today

The Daily Telegraph (Sydney) - - Drugs Scourge -

THE state government will today release its interim report into what went wrong at Opal Tower, three weeks after the building cracked.

The Daily Telegraph understands two professors of engineering — appointed by the government to lead an investigation — will determine that the building needs “substantial remediation work” before it’s up to scratch.

The builder Icon declared the Sydney Olympic Park building “safe to occupy” last Friday — however some residents have refused to move back in before the government releases its report.
