Truckie on kill charges
A SYDNEY truck driver has been charged with dangerous driving after the death of a cyclist on the NSW-ACT border.
The cyclist, a 49-year-old New Zealander, was allegedly hit by the truck on Saturday morning about 8.30am and died at the scene.
The truck driver, 38, wasn’t injured but was sent to hospital for mandatory testing.
He was later charged with dangerous driving occasioning death and negligent driving occasioning death.
The truck driver was bailed to appear at Queanbeyan Local Court on March 25.
