Something to chew over

The Daily Telegraph (Sydney) - - News -

MEN with gum disease are more likely to have problems in the bedroom.

Research based on more than 200,000 men shows that those with periodontal disease were nearly three time more likely to be diagnosed with erectile dysfunction.

Exactly why is unclear but one theory is that the chronic inflammation caused by gum disease may damage endothelial cells, which form the lining on all of blood vessels, including in the penis.

That damage may interfere with the blood flow needed for sexual functioning.
