Recipes for Ramadan
The world is facing great disruption right now, so we understand that Ramadan might feel a little different this year. This is a revered month in the Islamic calendar filled with faith and reflection, and usually family gatherings and community congregations in mosques. This can’t happen at the same scale this year so we’ve partnered with Recipes for Ramadan and invite Muslims and non-Muslims to a virtual Iftar in the form of recipe sharing and story telling (www.recipesforramadan.com).
Council has provided a $5,000 Mayoral grant to support this project.
We encourage families to celebrate identity and culture through the food we put on our tables and the conversations we have at them. We look forward to connecting with your food and families online.
