$27,700 to 14 or­gan­i­sa­tions

In­ner Wheel Club Corowa (es­tab­lish­ment), Amaranth Foun­da­tion (Trevor Davis Pay It For­ward cam­paign), Corowa Theatre Com­pany (event ABBA), Corowa Res­cue Squad (sign writ­ing for new boat), Corowa Busi­ness Cham­ber (new PA sys­tem) and Corowa Bap­tists Church (Corowa car­ols in the park) will re­ceive $2,500 to as­sist with their pro­jects.

Rivers Orchid Show at Oddfel­lows Hall will also re­ceive the equiv­a­lent of $2,500 which com­prises $2,000 cash for the event plus $500 hall hire (in kind).

Lit­tle Ath­let­ics Corowa is to re­ceive $2,000 to­wards its re­quested high jump flop mat. How­long Golf Club will re­ceive $2,200 for first aid equip­ment.

To get it started, Corowa She Shed is to re­ceive $1,000 for in­surance, ma­te­ri­als and util­i­ties.

Oak­lands Truck Show pro­mo­tion, together with as­sis­tance with mesh, bol­lards and bins, will be $1,750 bet­ter off. Oak­lands Lions Club will have $750 to welcome Santa in town.

Build­ing main­te­nance for Oak­lands CWA has a $1,500 boost.

Urana Arts & His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety’s pro­posed new pho­to­copier has a $1,000 grant.

Coun­cil re­ceived 17 grant ap­pli­ca­tions. It ap­proved the fore­go­ing 14 ap­pli­ca­tions worth a com­bined value of $27,700.

Seven Corowa or­gan­i­sa­tions will each re­ceive $2,500 from Round 2 of Fed­er­a­tion Coun­cil’s Com­mu­nity Grants 2018.
