IntraMaps launched

- BY ROBERT MUIR

Federation Council residents can now access interactive maps, details about services and facilities, planning and zoning information, parcels, underground assets, aerial imagery and topographical information.

It’s all part of a new public mapping system IntraMaps which has been launched by Federation Council to allow council to provide essential information and timely updates to residents.

It has been described as “a big step forward in technological capabilities for the community” by council’s director corporate and community services Kristy Kay.

“IntraMaps is a user friendly online information interactive mapping, spatial and business data for the general public,” she said at council’s monthly meeting on July 17.

“Cemeteries will be another feature available to virtually discover and search in the new future.”

Council is planning to promote the benefits of the system to residents.

“A quick reference guide has also been developed to support users and provide information on how to use this tool,” Ms Kay said. IntraMaps can be found on Federation Council’s website https:maps.federationcouncil.nsw.gov. au
