C Grade opened the season with a Round 1 win over Rovers United Bruck.
Jake Meyer (76) was the top scorer as Rutherglen scored 6/165. Brad Hallum also chipped in with 39 in reply to 5/158 with Lachie Battisson 2/20 as the leading wicket taker.

Rutherglen will combine with Beechworth to field teams in Under 16s and Under 14s in the Wangaratta and District Cricket Association this season. Training will be held at Barkly Park.

Star Girls Cricket
Rutherglen will field a team in the Stars Girls Cricket League in 2018/19. To be held in Wangaratta and Rutherglen, matches will be played on Tuesday nights.
Woolworths Master Blasters will be held on Wednesday nights and will rotate between Rutherglen, Howlong and Barnawartha each Wednesday. This is aimed at 8-10 year olds. Cost is $99 and includes a cap and club shirt. Training will be held on Wednesday at 4:30pm with Under 12s until the season commences.
Woolworths Blast is entry level skills-based cricket to teach your child the basics of the game.
This will be held at Barkly Park each Friday from 4:30pm. Cost is $99 and includes a cricket kit.
