Member for Albury, Greg Aplin announced on Tuesday that Liberal Party members have chosen Bowna Vet Justin Clancy as the Albury Liberal Candidate for the March 2019 election.

“Three very strong candidates put themselves forward with Justin gaining strong approval based on his vision for our community,” Mr Aplin said.

“Justin Clancy is a hard working local business owner with strong connections in our communities across the electorate.

“I look forward to mentoring Justin and doing everything I can to support his campaign.”

Born in Albury, and raised on a farm at Bowna near Table Top, Justin continues to live in Bowna with his wife Tabitha and three children Xavier (8), Seamus (6) and Natalie (2).

He has been active participant in numerous community organisations, contributing to the important work of the Mercy Health Albury Community Advisory Group, Albury Companion Animal Advisory Panel and Sports Albury Advisory Committee, as well as serving on the boards of the Rotary Club of AlburyHume, Albury-Wodonga RUFC and Sacred Heart North Albury Parish Council.

Having run his family vet centre clinics in Albury and Wodonga, Justin innately understands the needs and concerns of local small businesses. His business was a 2018 AlburyWodonga Business Awards winner.

“I am humbled and honoured to be selected as the Liberal candidate for the Albury electorate. I thank the local Party Members for the opportunity to continue building our community,” Mr Clancy said.

“I would also like to pay tribute to my friend and mentor, Greg Aplin for his dedication and service to our community and I look forward to working with him closely over the coming months.

“I have been committed to this region through my business, and participation in a variety of community groups, sport and family activities, and would be honoured to represent this community in the NSW Parliament should the people of this great electorate support me at the state election on March 23.

“By electing the Liberal candidate, our community will support the Berejiklian Government’s continued delivery of infrastructure and services that will make Albury an even better place to live,” Mr Clancy said.
