Cricket coach reappointe­d

First year Roos’ coach Jarryd Hatton has been reappointe­d senior coach of the Corowa Cricket Club, for season 2021/22.

The dynamic left arm speedster guided Corowa to the finals in the club’s introducti­on to the CAW Provincial competitio­n.

He took 35 wickets at an average of just 12.63 a wicket for the 2020/21 season and won the club’s senior Cricketer of the Year award.

“We are very happy with ‘Hatts,” club president Paul Lavis told The Free Press.

“We are happy winning the CAW club championsh­ip. It was a great reward for all players in the club, right down to Under 12s.”

Corowa finished well clear of second placed St Patricks to be the best overall club for season 2020/21.
