COROWA-RUTHERGLEN Roos swooped by Magpies!

-

was assisted through the game by Jesse Johnstone.

Caleb Johnson did his best with having to do a majority of the ruck work due to unavailability and injury to other talls.

First time Roo player Hayden Sampson was finally rewarded for persistence when he kicked a goal late in the final quarter.

Whilst the score line looked bad, it didn’t reflect the game at all and the young Roos showed great grit and determination when they came out in the second half after Tommy told them to trust in themselves, work together as a team and move up a gear.

Whilst we have a few things to work on this week at training, the future is positive for our group of young Roos if they keep together and continue to encourage one another. GO ROOS!!

Goals: Matthew Bush 1, Hayden Sampson 1.

Awards: Sportspower – Finn Osborne, Ricky D’s – Jesse Johnstone, Urban Graze – Jackson Lewis, Canteen Award – Caleb Johnson, Coach’s Award – Caleb Black
