Corowa Rutherglen played twilight football and netball for the first time this year when they ventured to Norm Minns Oval in Wangaratta to play the Wangaratta Magpies.

There was a significan­t contrast in the netball and football results with the netballers winning all four grades and the footballer­s being unsuccessf­ul in all of their three grades. defeated Corowa Rutherglen 1.2.8. Best players for the Roos were: Jordan Lavis, Bailey Pirnag, Nick Clifton and Tom Robinson. from the outset that it was going to be a tough day at the office.

The backline was under the pump all day, trying their hardest to repel anything that didn’t go through the sticks. Caleb Black’s recent holiday was quickly forgotten, and Jacko Lewis has found his new calling when he was put down to the backline in the second half of the game.
