THE South­ern Cricket As­so­ci­a­tion held its an­nual din­ner and tro­phy pre­sen­ta­tion re­cently

The New Nor­folk Cricket Club’s Ste­wart Rice won Third Grade Player of the Year with a big to­tal of 26 votes. Rice, who has pre­vi­ously won the same award in Sec­ond Grade, got 356 runs — with a high­est score of 128 in round two — and took 15 wick­ets

New Nor­folk’s play­ing coach Ja­son Rigby was named as coach of the First Grade Team of the Year, while his team-mate Seb Wishart was named at No. 6 in the team.

Brian Smith of the Gretna Cricket Club was awarded beat fielder in Fourth Grade.

Nathan Heron of New Nor­folk had the most catches in Sev­enth Grade, while best fielder for Eighth Grade went to Both­well’s Si­mon Eyles. Nor­folk I).
