New Norfolk’s Rosehaven role
NEW Norfolk has been confirmed as one of the filming locations for the third season of hit comedy series Rosehaven, which will begin shooting this month.
Shot entirely in the state and starring Tasmanian Luke McGregor and Celia Pacquola, Rosehaven premiered in 2016 and has become one of ABC TV’s top-rating shows.
The third season will be filmed in seven weeks from June 18 at locations including New Norfolk, Geeveston, Oatlands, Longley, Richmond, Seven Mile Beach, Mountain River, Brighton and Chigwell.
The first two season were shot in part at New Norfolk and Lachlan.
The first table reading for the new season was held in Hobart last week, with Pacquola and McGregor reprising their roles as best friends and real estate agents Emma and Daniel.
McGregor is happy to be back working in his home state.
“It feels like the film industry in Tassie is growing,” McGregor said. “If you want to bring a production down here there are good people around.”
Pacquola has high hopes for the third season.
“The support from Tasmania has been really wonderful and to be able to come back and increase our family — people returning from the last two seasons and the new people coming on board — is wonderful,” Pacquola said.
The State Government, through Screen Tasmania, committed $500,000 towards a third season.
