Market operator Jessica Cosgrove praised the community for making the day a success.

“I would like to thank the amazing stallholders, members of our community and local Businesses who have supported the market in its first year,” she said.

“All together you really are the heart and soul of our market, and have made it the suc- cess it has become. The camaraderie we all have, the welcoming atmosphere, and a variety of fabulous products showcases this is just the beginning of great things to come.”

At a market packed with stalls, live music and arts and crafts, a large crowd looked on and sang Happy Birthday as a cake was cut at midday.

Ms Cosgrove said the support of new naming rights sponsor Banjo’s would help sustain the market into the future.
