This funky retro Chinese-American diner offers a weekend brunch menu from 10am to 2pm which manager Briar Hikuroa describes as “not your typical Gold Coast brunch”. You can indulge in prawn toast with a slow-cooked egg, yuzu hollandaise and watercress salad or go for broke with the chilli crab and prawn omlette. “I’d also recommend the mac and cheese with a shallot pancake on the side,” Briar says. “Or, for something lighter, the breakfast salad or fried rice porridge with coconut and fresh fruit is perfect.” From midday you can order bloody marys and mango mimosas.
