This funky retro Chi­nese-Amer­i­can diner of­fers a week­end brunch menu from 10am to 2pm which man­ager Briar Hikuroa de­scribes as “not your typ­i­cal Gold Coast brunch”. You can in­dulge in prawn toast with a slow-cooked egg, yuzu hollandaise and wa­ter­cress salad or go for broke with the chilli crab and prawn om­lette. “I’d also rec­om­mend the mac and cheese with a shal­lot pan­cake on the side,” Briar says. “Or, for some­thing lighter, the breakfast salad or fried rice por­ridge with co­conut and fresh fruit is per­fect.” From mid­day you can or­der bloody marys and mango mi­mosas.
