This Varsity Lakes institution offers an all-day menu emphasising classic, fresh food with a twist. Co-owner Marc Kinvig says a good brunch option is the full Spanglish, Blackboard’s Espanol take on an English breakfast. Chorizo substitutes for black pudding, there’s sobrasada for sausage, Spanish-style jamon for bacon and fried duck eggs with crunchy potatoes on the side. “We look at trends and then try to do them our way,” Marc says. The crabmeat scrambled eggs is another hit with late morning diners and there are superfood options too, including colour-coordinated bowls.
