WE ARE GOLD COAST

OUR BEAUTIFUL BACKYARD THROUGH THE LENS OF OUR LOCALS #wearegoldcoast

The Gold Coast Bulletin - Gold Coast Eye - - PEOPLE EYE - STEVE WYPER @saltedshutter

Originally from Scotland where the water is a bit colder, Steve’s been living in Australia for five years. “There’s a huge amount of talented photographers here. Much of my drive is a direct result of seeing their amazing work.”

Sunrise surfer: I’m a keen surfer although not really that good. The guys I surf with have all made their way into my images at one point or another.

Sea of flames: I get so obsessed with photographing the ocean. I often turn up when it’s still dark chasing images like this.

Ocean mist on paradise: I don’t often have landmarks in my scenes but Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach create such a beautiful skyline.

Molten: There’s nothing better than slipping inside these mini barrels as the sun sets over the Gold Coast.

Elephant Rock: I find it very difficult to create compositions here yet I find myself visiting often.

Sense of calm: Recently my work has taken a turn. I’ve been enjoying creating shape and texture.

All shook up: When cyclone swells hit the Goldie, I can’t keep away.
