THE COU­PLE: Ness Win­ter & Daniel Scan­lan THE LOVE STORY: The at­trac­tion was im­me­di­ate for Dan and Ness, both cor­po­rate pro­fes­sion­als on the Gold Coast. The cou­ple met in Fe­bru­ary ear­lier this year af­ter friends ar­ranged a blind date.“Dan and I were in­tro­duced by mu­tual friends,” Ness says. Dan knew Ness was the woman of his dreams and pro­posed af­ter a few months of dat­ing. The ner­vous suitor bent down on one knee while at home with Ness on a sunny Sun­day. “Once Dan had my cus­tom LeGas­sick ring de­signed, he for­mally pro­posed to me,” she says. THE BIG DAY: The cou­ple mar­ried on Oc­to­ber 27 at Dan’s par­ents’ house. Sav­ing on book­ing an ex­pen­sive venue, they were able to cater to a large wed­ding party. “The most mem­o­rable thing was shar­ing our day at Daniel’s par­ents’ beau­ti­ful prop­erty in Burleigh Heads on top of the hill with just over 100 of our clos­est fam­ily and friends,” Ness says. THE DRESS: Ness wore a strap­less Turk­ish lace dress with a long, sheer train de­signed by lo­cal la­bel Grace Loves Lace.
