New offices a feather in cap for Quill Group
SOUTHPORT MP Rob Molhoek wasn’t going to miss the opening of Quill Group’s new offices in the CBD.
Mr Molhoek goes way back with Quill Group chief executive Kevin Nicol, when they both were on the board of Runaway Bay Junior Leagues Club.
He told Bizzy Bits that the pair had helped to turn around the financial viability of the club and had left together in 2002-03.
They both also had three sons playing at the club.
“I’ve known Kevin for 15 years and it’s great to see an entire office building returned to life,” he said.
“They have three whole floors there and there will be 68 staff working there too.”
Quill is a financial solutions provider offering accounting, financial planning, superannuation services and bookkeeping. The new office at 10 Short St brings together Quill’s operations for the first time including its accounting team and staff from Superfund Wholesale, which is a self-managed super fund administration business.
The office is state-of-the-art with specially engineered and insulated panelling, inset ceiling tiles and soundproof double-glazed frosted glass as well as concertina doors, video conferencing facilities, smart televisions, wired sound, and ergonomic furniture.
Mr Nicol said the opening of the new office was a milestone event for the company.
“Our new three-level building has an inspired fitout and design, providing an energetic and stimulating atmosphere for our growing team of financial services professionals to help our clients to manage their businesses,” he said.
The office was another stepping stone in the company’s quest to grow further in the financial services field.
