Veriluma’s US tie-up

-

ANALYTICS firm Veriluma has gone from selling a gold mine to teaming up with a US jewel. Well, sort of. The listed company, which has a technology hub at Robina, has announced a partnership with software-as-a-service company Diamond Capture Associates, based in Alexandria, Virginia.

It follows Veriluma’s sale of a WA gold mine for $1 million and is its first foray into the US market.

The company said the venture would enable it to tender for US Federal Government projects requiring prescriptive analytics technology in the fields of national security and law enforcement.

It said the technology could support governments to identify, understand and mitigate threats and develop strategic decision-making capabilities.

Diamond Capture Associates focuses on fraud detection and authentication, advanced analytics, enterprise solutions, cyber and mobile security, and business intelligence.

The partnership was forged by Diamond’s president Bailey Spencer, Veriluma’s global vice-president of public safety Mark Carrick and former US Treasury special agent John Cassara.

Veriluma chief executive Elizabeth Whitelock said Diamond had experience marketing prescriptive analytics technology in the US.

“They have tested the market and its willingness to deploy solutions like ours in US federal government projects,” she said.

“The deal will help US government departments use prescriptive analytics to make better decisions when working through complex national security and counter-terrorism issues.”
