Survival race heating up
SOCCER THE battle to avoid Premier League relegation has taken a twist after Swansea capitalised on Hull’s defeat to Sunderland with an upset of Everton to leapfrog the Tigers into 17th.
After relegated Sunderland won 2-0 at Hull, Fernando Llorente scored the solitary goal as Swansea held on to climb out of the bottom three for the first time since March. Elsewhere, Leicester beat Watford 3-0, Stoke and Bournemouth drew 2-2, Burnley and West Brom drew 2-2 and Manchester City thrashed Crystal Palace 5-0.
