Connor’s fate today

BYRON Bay woman Sara Connor will find out today whether her four-year jail term for her role in the death of a Bali police officer will be increased.

The Bali High Court is due to hand down its decision on the prosecution’s appeal against the leniency of her sentence. Prosecutors had demanded she be jailed for eight years for her role in the bashing death of police officer Wayan Sudarsa on a Kuta beach on August 17. But the Denpasar District Court sentenced her to just half that.

Connor’s British boyfriend, David Taylor, who was also found guilty of the same charge, was sentenced to six years in jail.
