$2m boost for families
MORE than $2 million has been spent on providing vulnerable Gold Coast families with comprehensive support.
The Nerang service hub will provide families who struggle with domestic and family violence, parenting problems and drug and alcohol addiction with faster assistance by having Child Safety staff and specialist support workers in the one place.
“Having child safety workers and specialist support workers with skills in helping manage domestic and family violence, parenting problems and alcohol and drug addiction, means we can start our handson work with families from the moment they come to our attention,” Child Safety Minister Shannon Fentiman said.
More hubs will be rolled out across the state throughout the rest of the year.
