Clive’s on the mend
CLIVE Palmer’s recovery appears to be going well, with the former billionaire spotted dining out on the Gold Coast.
Mr Palmer, former owner of the collapsed Yabulu nickel refinery, dined with his family at Southport Yacht Club on Friday night.
He appeared healthy, telling fellow diners he felt “good” and ordering his family a range of meals which included pan fried barramundi and an antipasto platter.
Dressed in a white polo shirt with the club’s logo on the chest, Mr Palmer attracted a few whispers on his way in but was left alone as he ate.
The Sovereign Islands resident was spotted dining at The Fish House in Burleigh and the Japanese restaurant at Paradise Point the same week he appeared in a Brisbane court clutching oxygen and a sick bag.
Federal Court Justice John Dowsett ruled Mr Palmer was well enough to give evidence about the whereabouts of his nephew Clive Mensinck.
Former Queensland Nickel director Mr Mensink has dodged two Federal Court orders to give evidence about QN’s 2016 collapse.
