ANGELS TAKEN BY EVIL

Family mourns death of ‘beautiful’ Aussie in London

-

had lived in the UK for the past three years and is being mourned by colleagues, her family and boyfriend. “I cannot put into words how sad I am that we have lost one of our own,” said Eileen Sills, chief nurse at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.

“Kirsty was an outstanding nurse and a hugely valued member of the staff team in Theatres Recovery, described by her colleagues as ‘one in a million’ who always went the extra mile for the patients in her care.”

Ms Boden spent several years in Sydney and was a lifesaver with the Tamarama Surf Life Saving Club, where her fellow clubbies are now planning a memorial. “Members are distraught at the loss. We are currently fundraising to renovate the club, and the members will have a memorial tile at the front of the new club to honour Kirsty’s memory and her bravery,” the club’s vice-president Troy Longworth said.

And Prince Harry also paid tribute to the fallen Australians while in Sydney to promote the Invictus Games.

“Australians form an important and vibrant part of the fabric of life in London and we are reminded of that in good times and bad,’’ the prince said at a ceremony at Admiralty House. “Our hearts go out to the victims, their friends and families.”

As police and the coroner’s office continued to try to identify all 55 of those killed or injured in the attack, police said last night they believed they had found the body of a Frenchman in the River Thames who was knocked off London Bridge by the speeding van. Xavier Thomas, 45, was walking with his girlfriend when she was struck by the van, suffering serious injuries.
