COSBY ACCUSERS VOW TO FIGHT ON
FALLEN TV star Bill Cosby’s rape charges ended in a mistrial yesterday, with his family claiming a victory while his alleged victims pledged to keep fighting.
Dozens of women have accused the 79-year-old of drugging and then raping them over a 50 year period.
But criminal charges were laid in just one case, that of former college basketball coach Andrea Constand. She sat straight-faced in Montgomery Court in Pennsylvania as the mistrial was called after the jury failed to reach a verdict. Some of Cosby’s other accusers wept. District Attorney Kevin Steele vowed to retry Cosby on the charges.
Cosby’s wife Camille-released a furious statement saying her husband was innocent.
“How do I describe the district attorney? Heinously and exploitatively ambitious. How do I describe the judge? Overtly arrogant in collaborating with the district attorney. How do I describe the counsels for the accusers? Totally unethical,” she wrote.
