GOLD Coast 600 organisers will try and entice a younger brigade of fans by bringing a music festival atmosphere to the supercharged event in October.

Supercars will this morning unveil an all-star music lineup to complement the Octo- ber motorsport spectacle, with Broadwater Sounds concerts on Friday and Saturday nights as well as the over-18 Club 600 area on-site which will run all three days.

High-profile ambassador Delta Goodrem will perform her first Supercars concert of the year on the Friday night, while Brisbane indie band Violent Soho will be among six or more acts starring the following night.

Further headline acts announced today include a band currently holding several international hits.

Club 600 entertainment will run across all three days, from October 20-22, with Gold Coaster Brooke Evers signed up and Supercars in discussions with the Stafford Brothers to join a host of other DJs at the popular ontrack club.

“This is more than a motor race, it is a massive major event on and off track,” Supercars chief executive James Warburton said.

“The Gold Coast 600 is a festival of the best motorsports categories on the planet combined with world-class music which appeals to a very wide audience and demographic.

“It is why this event continues to grow in stature as one of the biggest and best in the country.”

Fans can get the best of both worlds with a three-day race ticket including both concert nights from $235. Tickets for Friday’s racing and concert are priced from $85.
