WORLDHERITAGE

UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation) has designated 43 World Heritage sites in France. Included in the list is the Vézère Valley which contains 147 prehistoric sites dating from the Palaeolithic era and 25 decorated caves including Lascaux.
