In the last 12 months, almost 7500 jobs have been shed in the Gold Coast region alone.
Queensland is the worstperforming Australian state when it comes to youth job losses, with 10,000 fewer young Queenslanders employed than this time last year.
Not only is Queensland crying out for jobs, but business investment has plummeted by $23 billion since the 2015 election and, according to State Budget papers, is not forecast to improve at all this year.
Quite simply, our state needs jobs and investment — desperately. And the people of the Gold Coast need them well
