Heard shared a picture of her cuddling a Spanish hunk on the Gold Coast, where she is shooting the blockbuste­r Aquaman. “13 years of friendship plus 24 hours of flying equals 1 girl, who’s lucky enough to have a friend come to see her when she needed it most,” the star captioned the Instagram snap.

Beachside snow park plans for Coast

The Gold Coast’s tourist strip is set to chill out as a developer proposes turning an empty Ferny Ave block of land into a “mini”snow park with slopes and a go-kart track. The project, put forward by Snow Parks (Gold Coast) Pty Ltd is the subject of a developmen­t applicatio­n put to council this week, with hopes of using the Glitter Strip attraction as springboar­d to creating a much larger ski park at Mudgeeraba.

Dodgy companies forced to pay bigtime

Three dodgy Gold Coast employers have been forced to pay back tens of thousands of dollars to staff after a series of fair work investigat­ions recently. In one instance, a full-time trainee investment adviser was paid only commission for seven months – resulting in a total under payment of $28,000.

Asian street food laneway is coming

Surfers really will be paradise for the palate when an authentic Asian street food alleyway opens in December. Called 8 Street, by David Wu, the owner of the Brisbane project by the same name, a prime piece of real estate is about to be taken over by the sights, smells and tastes of street food. The CEO of property developmen­t partner Denwol, Harold Kopelowitz says the aim is to thoroughly transport visitors to famous Asian food alleys.
