REGARDING federal politicians having dual citizenship, our forefathers created a constitutional rule.

The rule disqualifies anyone who is under any acknowledgement of allegiance or adherence to another foreign power.

Simply put, if you do not fit our criteria you cannot hold a position in federal politics.

It is a shame this rule does not apply to state and local politics.

The biggest laugh of all is, that the Federal Government has long been intent on placing new rules to erode our freedom, but when a constitutional law applies to them they run like spoilt brats to the High Court to overturn the law.

Will the High Court inform them that ignorance of the law is no excuse and a referendum is the only way a constitutional law can be over turned?

Thankfully our forefathers had the foresight to protect our country by putting this rule into place. RUSSELL BOYLAND, TALLAI

RE: Letter by LCS (Your View, 1/9) about vaccination was ridiculous.

You do not need long-term studies, just look at (a) no polio (b) no diphtheria – my mother could smell it in houses pre World War II in Glasgow and (c) tetanus.

I saw an unvaccinated child die of tetanus in Scotland in 1964.

Whooping cough vaccine only lasts three years and if we all followed Donald Trump we would either be certified insane or dead. IAN CLARK, ELANORA

IT is obvious that the new world order’s goal of forming a oneworld government is moving forward at an increasing rate.

Soon all countries will be expected to surrender their nationhood. This will include the dismantling of the British Commonwealth and therefore the upcoming Gold Coast Commonwealth Games could well be the last. WHEEL, COOMBABAH

NOTHING gives me more pleasure in the morning while reading the letters in the Bulletin, than reading D J Fraser’s dislikes. D WILKINSON, WORONGARY

I READ in the GCB (2/9) that the Titans are considering Chris Anderson as coach.

Well he did take the Storm to their maiden premiership.

He then went to the Sharks and took one of the most entertaining teams with the likes of Peachy and well destroyed them.

A number of Sharks players left and went to Penrith under former Sharks coach John Lang and Penrith won the premiership.

Clear warning signs Titans, don’t get Anderson. RADISH

THE rich get richer buying and selling thoroughbred race horses and encouraging the poor to bet away their hard-earned money and encouraging addictions.

They don’t care about Black Swan Lake.

They are not interested in the environment or wildlife.

That’s a shame on you – the Gold Coast City Council and the turf club. GRANNY ROZ
