WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT THE GOLD COAST?

“Being an established tourist destination affords great opportunity to the Gold Coast as a whole, and GC2018 is a perfect example of this – we are very excited.

“Naturally, I also love the outstanding outlet shopping.

“Working in an environment such as Harbour Town offers a daily reminder of what makes this city great.

“We are a tourism destination, which means we are attracting thousands of people each week who come here for a holiday and are more likely to be relaxed.

“We often receive great praise for the staff across our stores because they are so welcoming and friendly.

“The reason for this is they can’t help but be happier when they are on the frontline interacting with carefree holidaymakers every day.”

WHAT DO YOU THINK COULD BE DONE BETTER ON THE GOLD COAST?

“The treatment of non-developed sites needs to be considered as some are eyesores.”

IN YOUR TRAVELS, WHAT HAVE YOU SEEN BEING DONE ELSEWHERE THAT YOU THINK COULD WORK WELL HERE?

“Transport connectivity with the airport.

“Having worked in countries such as Singapore, it’s obvious it is an area of city planning that has been overlooked for far too long.

“Fortunately, the opportunities afforded to the Gold Coast as a result of GC2018 is set to resolve this.”

IF MONEY, TIME, LAWS AND APPROVALS WERE NO OBSTACLE, WHAT IS THE ONE BIG PROJECT YOU WOULD UNDERTAKE TOMORROW?

“The extension of the G:link to Harbour Town and a cruise ship terminal.

“The northern end of the Coast would stand to benefit greatly from the tourism these initiatives would bring.”

IN YOUR OPINION, WHAT CONVERSATIONS SHOULD THE GOLD COAST’S MOVERS AND SHAKERS BE HAVING RIGHT NOW?

“What is the next significant target project that provides our next major unique selling point as a holiday destination?

“The pace of the world is not what is used to be.

“That is largely due to the impact of the internet.

“We can’t stand stagnant for too long.”
