Surfers Paradise’s Katya Perova, 9, has already amassed nearly 50,000 Instagram fans. The child model moved from Moscow to the Gold Coast with her family three years ago. Her mum Iuliia said they started the Instagram account less than two years ago.

Fatty gets punted from Footy Show

NRL TV stalwart Paul “Fatty” Vautin is being axed from Channel Nine’s Footy Show after 23 years. The longest-serving host on Australian TV will be restricted to commentary box duties at live NRL games in 2018 with Erin Molan being groomed as his replacemen­t. The show will reportedly be expanded next year to broadcast in a new timeslot on Monday and Thursday night and Sunday lunchtime.

Driveway owner being driven spare

A man has been told to “f… off” by motorists after he asked them not to park across his driveway. Will Flage-Yeats has lived in Corinda since 2001, but said the problem with drivers parking across his driveway was increasing. “It’s just become 10 times worse to the point where I can’t get in my driveway,” he said. “I brought my (newborn) son home and I had to get out of my car and tell a driver to move out of my driveway so I could get into my house.” Mr Flage-Yeats said he had also been abused by people after he asked them to move their illegally parked car.
