ROBBERY – RUNAWAY BAY

THIEVES robbed an elderly couple as they slept in their beds at Runaway Bay. Between 3.20-3.40am on October 15, a 79-year-old woman and 68-year-old man were asleep when their Oxley Drive house was broken into. The woman’s handbag, mobile phone, wallet and reading glasses were stolen. Some of the items were later found in a garden on Pine Ridge Road in Coombabah. Police would like help in identifyin­g these two men who could help them with their investigat­ions.

THEFT – WORONGARY JEWELLERY and a laptop have been stolen from a home at Worongary after an offender gained access through the rear door. Police would like to speak with the woman pictured. Around 12.30pm on October 23, a woman drove a white Toyota Hilux ute with stolen plates 443 XOW to the San Fernando Drive property.

The woman is described as caucasian, 30-40 years old with dark hair, of large build, 165cm tall. She has tattoos on her calf and was wearing a white cardigan and flower printed skirt.

POLICE would like to speak this man in relation to a car theft at Mermaid Beach. Around 5.20am on October 21 the owner of a red Mazda 3 with registrati­on 272 WWF parked outside a convenienc­e store on the Gold Coast Highway. She was removing items from the boot to take into the store and left the keys in the ignition. When she returned to the car, it was gone.
