Take a peek at the luxury waterfront properties Aquaman stars Amber Heard and Jason Momoa (right) called home during their sevenmonth stint on the Gold Coast.
The stars returned to the US on the weekend after director James Wan’s cast and crew wrapped filming at Village Roadshow Studios.
Momoa, who stars as Arthur ‘Aquaman’ Curry, and Heard, who plays his love interest Queen Mera, appeared to be right at home on the Coast, making the most of the city’s relaxed outdoor lifestyle on their weekends off.
Heard, who stayed in a semirural mansion on the Nerang River at Ashmore, was joined by guests including former boyfriend Elon Musk and gal pals Tilly Lawless and Racquel Pennington during her time in town.
Momoa, who set up residence in a beachfront house on Millionaires Rowe in Hedges Avenue, Mermaid Beach, was often seen riding his pushbike along the foreshore with mates including rock climber Norman Montes or playing with his young son and daughter on the beach when they visited.
Momoa even made a few temporary DIY modifications to his mansion, installing lattice barricades on the balconies to protect his kids from paparazzi photographers.
Heard’s air-conditioned home away from home, listed for rent in 2013 for $2500 a week, last changed hands for $3.1 million in 2007 but is now valued at up to $6.7 million.
The bagged-brick and timber home has four garages, four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a cellar and a beautiful swimming pool that featured in several of the Texan actress’s Instagram posts.
The house was tailormade for entertaining, with Heard often posting pictures of herself and her gal pals partying at the property.
The house wasn’t exactly private – Heard was filmed kissing a mystery man by a visitor at the house next door.
