Arrest after crime spree
A MAN is in custody after allegedly going on an overnight crime spree in southeast Queensland.
Police allege the 30-yearold broke into several houses, fired a shot at a man and stole several cars in Redlands and Moreton Bay in the early hours of yesterday morning.
A man living on a Redland Bay street went to assist the driver of a damaged Toyota Prado just after midnight when he was confronted by another man armed with a firearm.
Police allege that after the resident returned to his house and locked the door, the offender kicked in the door of a neighbouring home and demanded keys to a car from the 56-year-old man inside.
Police used tyre deflation devices on the Bribie Island bridge to stop the man.
