THURSDAY

QT Gold Coast is bringing an American appetite to its marketplace restaurant Bazaar, serving a Thanksgiving feast of epic proportions. Hailing from Rhode Island in the North East of the United States, the hotel’s new food and beverage director Jared Thibault is no stranger to the tradition. “Thanksgiving reminds me of watching the NFL with my family. We’d always have family over to our house and Mum would cook a Thanksgiving feast,” he says. The guest of honour? “A traditional roast turkey. It’s all about the stuffing. My favourite was Portuguese style with chorizo.” Bazaar’s feast will include cranberry-stuffed roast turkey with apple chutney, trawler-fresh seafood (for an Australian twist), and apple, pumpkin and pecan pie with cardamom cream. “It’s all about getting together with family and friends. It’s the perfect way to kickstart the festive season,” Jared says. Adults are $72, children $29 and kids aged under four years dine free.
