A hot seat and under new boundaries, the margin to the LNP at 2.8 per cent, just up from 2.2 per cent. LNP MP Sid Cramp’s vote is up by about 7 per cent on 2015. But young Labor lawyer Meaghan Scanlon, after doorknocking homes, increased the ALP vote by about 15 per cent. Former independent MP Dr Alex Douglas polled 12 per cent and PUP nine per cent in 2015. This time only the Greens ran, their vote slightly
up with much of their 10 per cent to go to the ALP on preferences. This a swing seat and the job for Labor will be to add a few percentages in 2020 and make it their own.
