Statements like this following Tonga’s semifinal loss to England sadly sum up all that is wrong with rugby league.

Regardless of whether you think Andrew Fifita was stripped of the ball late in the contest, the fact remains there was another 79 minutes of action in which Tonga could have found a lead.

Refs get bagged for not making a call – and then when they do they get bagged for doing so.

Let’s stop the culture of blaming refs for all that goes wrong.
