Amazon a real jungle
STAFF at online retail behemoth Amazon’s UK warehouses are falling asleep on their feet and being taken away in ambulances as they struggle to meet distrubution targets, a newspaper investigation has claimed.
An undercover reporter for the Sunday Mirror, working at the firm’s giant fulfilment centre in Essex – the largest in Europe – claimed his colleagues were so overworked they would “sleep on their feet’’ while others “buckled under the strain and had to be attended by ambulance crews’’.
