-

A MAN was allegedly taken to the Coomera Waters Tavern car park and beaten with a baseball bat leaving him bruised and battered.

Craig Carroll was left with a split lip, scratches on his shoulder and the soles of his feet and bruises on his torso, thigh and head after the attack on January 16 last year.

Mr Carroll took the stand to speak about the ordeal during a trial in the Southport District Court.

Trent Daniel Habershon, who is defending a charge of assault occasioning bodily harm, has denied he was even there at the time of the attack.

Habershon was allegedly among a group of four men who repeatedly hit Mr Carroll before he was able to escape.

The trial continues today.
