Wallet, phone in pants

A MAN stuffed a wallet with $300 cash and an Apple iPhone down his pants in order to steal them from the Star Casino.

Mark Giles Robertson managed to walk away with just a fine after pleading guilty in Southport Magistrates Court to stealing.

The court heard Robertson was in the pokies room at the Star with his partner when another patron left their phone and wallet near a machine while they went to have a cigarette just before midnight on February 8.

Robertson’s partner took the phone and wallet and gave it to Robertson who stuffed them both down the front of his pants.

Magistrate Andrew Sinclair fined him $500 and ordered he pay $300 restitution.
