THEY’RE IN IT FOR ‘LIFE’

-

THIS isn’t a Baywatch remake – these girls are the real deal.

Tara Coleman, Courtney Hancock, Harriet Brown and Jordan Mercer are not just the cream of the crop for the Nutri-Grain Ironwoman Series crown, they could actually save your life this summer.

All 20 elite ironwomen competitors are fully qualified surf lifesavers trained in CPR and surf safety and will be patrolling beaches this summer in the iconic red and yellow making sure you swim between the flags.

That’s on top of training up to six hours a day, seven days a week to be some of the fittest athletes in the country for the ironwomen series. They take on waves the sizes of unit blocks and their speed on the sand would rival that of an Olympic track runner.

“We spend most of our weekends racing in the Nutri-Grain Ironwoman Series but when we aren’t racing we are life savers,” threetime Ironwoman series champion Hancock said.
