Body found beside river
A REPORT will be prepared for the coroner after a woman’s body was discovered on the banks of the Brunswick River in northern NSW on Wednesday.
The woman, who was found in Heritage Park, Mullumbimby about 4.30pm, is yet to be formally identified but her death is not believed to be suspicious.
Tweed Byron Local Area Command crime manager Detective Inspector Brendon Cullen said the age of the woman was unclear as she is believed to have been in the water for some time.
A NSW Police spokeswoman said a post mortem was being undertaken to identify the woman and a report would be prepared for the state coroner.
